Gideon Sunday | August 30th

The Pulaski Baptist Association is partnering with The Gideons International to encourage every church to set aside Sunday, August 30, as Gideon Sunday.

For more than a century, Gideons have faithfully distributed God's Word around the world. Through Bibles and New Testaments placed in hotels, schools, hospitals, military installations, prisons, and countless other locations, millions have encountered the hope of Jesus Christ.

But Gideons are more than Bible distributors. They are local church members who are committed to evangelism, prayer, and partnering with pastors to reach their communities with the Gospel.

How Your Church Can Participate

Every church is different, so we've made it easy to participate in a way that best fits your worship service.

You may choose to:

• Show a brief Gideon ministry video.

• Invite a local Gideon representative to share a testimony.

• Include a prayer for Gideons and their ministry.

• Highlight how God continues to use His Word to change lives around the world.

Whether your church gives five minutes or twenty, the goal is the same—to celebrate God's Word and those who faithfully place it into the hands of people who need it.

Resources

The Pulaski Baptist Association and your local Gideon representatives are available to help you prepare for Gideon Sunday. Promotional materials, videos, and speaker arrangements are available to make participation simple for your church.
