Meet the Pastor Monday • Matt Duran

Matt Duran has served as Senior Pastor of Indian Springs Baptist Church since early 2021, after previously serving on staff in a leadership and teaching role. Over the years, his ministry has spanned student ministry, young adults, and pastoral leadership in churches across Arkansas and Texas.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science from Central Baptist College, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Liberty University.

Before stepping into full-time ministry, Matt served his country with two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom which was a season that helped shape his leadership, resilience, and calling.

He and his wife Aubri have been married since 2009 and are raising their two children, Trent and Emily Ann. As a family, they enjoy traveling, sports, and spending time together.

Matt’s heart for ministry is clear: helping people become fully devoted followers of Chris by being grounded in God’s Word, connected in biblical community, and living on mission. His desire is to see believers not only grow in their faith, but actively invest in others as disciple-makers.
