Meet the Pastor Monday • David Bowen

David has been the Pastor at Ironton since August of 2024.  This marked a return to the church, as he had previously served there as their Associate Pastor/Youth Minister for over 12 years.  During his time away, David pastored two different congregations in southern Arkansas.  When the Lord opened the door for a return to Ironton, David and his family eagerly accepted the call.

David was born and raised in Van Buren, AR.  He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Divinity from Liberty University. His great ministry passion is communicating the truths of God’s Word through preaching and teaching.  It is his desire that all would come to realize their part in God’s amazing story.

David wears many hats in life, but none make him prouder than that of husband and father.  David and his wife Kelli have been married for nearly 16 years and have been blessed with a daughter Natalie (12) who constantly keeps them on their toes.  In his free time, David enjoys rooting for the Razorbacks and St. Louis Cardinals.  He also enjoys a nice round of golf and hunting for deer and turkey.

There are many verses that are near and dear to David, but one of his favorites is Ephesians 2:10.  He understands that his life is not his own and simply wants to live it out for the One who called him to it.
